Hey there everyone,
My name is Kay. I grew up in the suburbs of Chicago. Naturally, I went to UIUC like my mom, aunt, grandparents, sister, etc... There, I earned a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, joined a sorority, and totally loved all four years. Soon it was time to graduate, and I couldn't bear the thought of leaving Chicago, Illinois... this would mean leaving all my friends and my family. I dedicated the first semester of my senior year to searching for a job in Chicago where I would be happy. Luckily, I landed a job at a tech giant in Chicago!
Now I have been working for almost a year (it'll be one year on Aug 27!) and I've moved out of my parents' house. I'm faced with new challenges. I'm living downtown. I'm trying to learn how to budget, save, invest, and make "adult" financial decisions. I'm balancing a career, friends, a boyfriend, and family. And like anyone, I'm making time for hobbies like fashion, crafts, gardening, and exercising.
As I navigate the world as a "big girl", I'll share my struggles, victories, and tips.
XOXO,
Kay
A blog about me: a girl who is navigating "big girl" life in Chicago after recently graduating from college with a bachelor's in Computer Science. This blog details the struggles, victories, and tips I have as I learn how to budget, cook, garden, clean, and manage all other adult matters while being healthy, going green, and saving money.
